See, I told you it was coming. The thing is, even I didn’t know what I meant by that.
First things first, this is still a work in progress. So, if something is not working, appearing, doesn’t seem right, etc., please feel free to say so. For instance, you’ll probably want to use Firefox instead of IE or the columns on this page are pretty much going to look a bit crazy from the beginning. I’m still working on this. Yeah, you’ll still be able to read it but it’ll be all wonky and you’ll ask yourself “who the heck designed this crap?”
Which brings me to my second point: I did this (starting with a template from Freakitude). And let me just say now, it is a) not perfect and b) not complete. However, it would not have been possible without a couple really tolerant people (one, in particular and I won’t call her out now but you’ll be seeing her around here, I hope, if she can stand me any longer) and a LOT of Internet searches. Though I feel like I’ve learned so much, I now know that I have just enough information to be dangerous, as they say.
You may notice that, in all archives, there are no comments (nor are there comments open). This is because of The Great Migration Debacle of 2007 (that is what we’ll call it) which was awful but necessary. Let me tell you, you have not lived until you go to migrate your each and every post and get nothing but error messages and then, when it finally does happen, a blank screen. Picture me sitting on the edge of a chair, covering my face with my own shirt and rocking back and forth because WHAT JUST HAPPENED to 425 posts? Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, breathe, breathe, breathe! That, folks, is not something I wish to repeat.
So here we are, at a new, experimental place where I can write on and on without the headaches of Blogger and where everything is copyrighted and whatnot. How special.
