“So now she won’t call me back.”
“That’s ridiculous, but who cares.”
“I care. It’s four days away.”
“I doubt she’s ignoring you. And besides, she’s a great cook. Let her do it all.”
“But then everyone’s going to do their own thing, and then we’ll end up with six kind of potatoes.”
“Okay.”
“Well what then? An all-potato Thanksgiving. What do you call that?”
“I call that Happy Thanksgiving to me!”
“Uggggghhhhh!”
So who wants a guest at their table this time next year?

Danielle says:
Sounds fun…My family is always open to new people at the table. We have rules told to us, invite anyone that doesn’t have a place to go…we always have plenty (and only potatoes are the sweet potatos and mashed).

An all potato dinner - that would be wonderful! But only if it was followed by an all pie dessert.
You could join us - we’re up to 50 anyway, one more will just add to the fun!

We also skip the family Turkey Day and usually head out of town to see friends and family in Duluth.
I think this year, and from now on, we are going to have our own. So you know there’s a place for you if need T-Day fixins next year.

Haha, you can come party with us in Philly - lots of beer, lots of food, and so many cousins that they’ll probably think you’re related.

You are always welcome here in Virginia - but… we go out for dinner on Thanksgiving. Not exactly the family tradition, but it is our “new tradition” which allows everyone to customize their meal!
I would love an all potato dinner!

Sadly we had ours in October, so now I have turkey envy. But you come on up for leftover lasagna if you like.

Let’s fly somewhere fun and eat in a restaurant. One year we got cheap airfare for San Francisco. We were there less than 24 hours, and seafood on Fisherman’s Wharf. It was so cool! Another year we flew to Burbank, had dinner at our hotel, and then goofed around in Pasadena for a day. Last year we stayed home and ate the second pizza from the previous nights buy one get one free order. All things considered, I felt much more thankful in the restaurant!
