Overall, on this latest trip, I was disappointed with the photos. Of the hundreds I took, I only maybe liked ten. And of those ten, I can’t say I was overly excited about more than five. Maybe I’m just being hard on myself. Maybe I should have had more rum. Maybe I should just go back and try again.
Whatever it was, though, I have to say that looking at them brings me back fast enough that color quality and clarity start to matter very little. The photos do their job, if I do say so myself.
For some reason, on this trip I decided to take a lot of photos of my beach chair. On the beach. Just sitting there, as if it’s waiting for you to come along and plant yourself right in it. Go ahead, have a seat.

Sit back a little. Enjoy the breeze.

Dip your feet in the water a little. Sink deeper and deeper into the sand with each wave.

Revel in the time you have to be all alone.

Ahhhh.

Well, except for this last one. I’ll take that. I know it’s hard to see, but I have my standard “I’m on the beach, it is nearly impossible for me to do more than turn my head” look. I’m sure you can identify.

I have been itching to go to the beach. This did not help. Except to make me promise to myself that I will drive over this weekend.
i would love to be right there, right now. sun and waves and sand and being alone. sounds absolutely fantastic!
Ah Sweet!!
Love the beach. I like both the welcoming chair and the picture of you soaking it up.
Discovering that there are not many exquisite pictures: been there… share the disappointment.. but I like the ones you posted. At least the pictures can bring to mind the pleasure.
Beautiful sandy beach, like that last pic, blue sky, cool blue waters, blue striped towel, and the blue-eyed girl ( may be not)
I guess I’d vote for the “you have to go back and take some more” if you aren’t happy with them. My favorite picture I took when in Hawaii was of an empty chair…you can see the ocean, the beach, the islands off shore…and it’s just waiting for you to come sit on it (actually there are two, so company is welcome!).
I would LOVE to be on a beach of some exotic island right now…somewhere far, far away
You know what this reminded me of? Oprah’s section in her magazine (shhh, sometimes I read it!) when she has that beautiful big picture spread out over two pages called ‘breathing space’ and you just look at some lovely scenic picture and feel better.
That’s what happened when I looked at these, I felt better. Thanks for sharing!
Breathtaking beautiful!
Ha! Am I soooooooo glad I came by here today, as I haven’t ventured anywhere of late… I cannot even imagine a finer place to be! I love those round leaves on those shrubs by your chair…oh I could sit there all day … lol, and maybe not even turn my head! Oh I am sooo glad someone is enjoying some sunshine…cold & rainy here… so have some rum & some fun for me, please!
Oh that looks stunning. What a great place to sit and relax and forget about the rest of the world… ahhhh
Gorgeous pics too.
“Calgon, take me away” ……
Beautiful!
Okay maybe you didn’t get a gazillion photos, but the colours in those ones! Glorious.
Didn’t have any Corona handy for some photo-ops?
