Ha, sounds like Seattle may not be a place for you after reading this post. I like your inner mantra. I think it’s cute how you talk to yourself. Why don’t I see anything about “shit, I got lucky I didn’t trip on that crack in the pavement”. It has to happen to even sweet runners such as yourself.

Very funny and oh so familiar running thoughts. And you are right; you won’t gain weight from eating pizza. But you will lose precious seconds of your life worrying about it.

Yes, Seattle and its overcast (at least this year) would probably drive you crazy. I am starting to feel it (overcast-depression) this year!

I could never possibly remember all the stuff that filters through on a run. So many thoughts get sifted and sorted…and it doesn’t even feel like work.

Now you got me. I ran for over three hours by myself on Saturday and I don’t remember anything that I thought about. Okay, not really true…I went through the aches and pains thoughts, then the “do I need to go potty” thoughts, and I know I thought about just how much longer 50 miles is gonna be. But sometimes I think my mind just shuts down and I am – just- running- and- existing. Blank.

wow…that’s me!! Friday I contemplated who would get the notmination for both parties, the little I know, who I would vote for of the two (and knowing I will get more knowledge when the nomitations come out, I just want to focus on the top two), then about a guy…who is in my life…if they should be…the fact that I don’t have time cause of focus for the fall marathon, then focus on hopefully grad school…isn’t it amazing all that can be resolved on a good run??
