But that doesn’t mean you skip breakfast. And it definitely doesn’t mean you are allowed to forget that it’s breakfast time.

So you set the sugar out.
And slowly, after watching you from the tree, someone is sent up first.

Okay. The sugar is safe.
But still unsure, he’s outta there.

Hmm. Still seems okay.
Let’s get a few more in on this.

(I wish I could bathe in my food sometimes, too.)
Before long, it’s a free-for-all.

Woo hoo!
(I went on the other side of the screen, so as to assure them that I wasn’t planning on a bananaquit breakfast.)

Breakfast should always be this much fun.

how beautiful!!
Is this the new(est that I know of) lens? If so it’s maaaarvelous!
Those birds are so sweet (excuse the pun!!!) What are they called?
adorable!
Bre- Yes, yes it is.
Jacinta- They’re called bananaquits.
I don’t think I want to take a bath in my food. But when they do it it’s… just right.
Mother obviously wasn’t in the kitchen. I always got in trouble for wearing my food.
Very cool…now if it was chocolate, I think I could bathe in it…:)
I’m hella impressed by your photos. Taking pictures of moving objects (birds or babies) is really hard to do. Nice work.
I think I want to move where you live. The first picture is awesome.
Beautiful pictures.
I can’t believe I’ve never tried to sugar trick! This is a great one.
You take all of these pics yourself?! Those are awesome!
I know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow! Sugar in the bathtub!
Those pictures are just incredible.
I feel so mean. I don’t put out sugar, so our poor little birds roll around in dirt!
You know I now realise how stupid my question must have seemed, but I actually thought you added the word banana to make it sound like something for breakfast!! Some American delicacy that remained a mystery to my Australian palate… And this comment isn’t really helping the case for intelligence either. Oh well!
Where are you??? These photo’s are stunning!
