I too am dreading the end of the games. Actually, dreading is too soft a word. I’m talking serious post-games depression!

And I can’t even look forward to football because I spend all my Sundays watching 5 hour NASCAR Races. My friend, I am doomed.

You know what, I’ve really enjoyed following these Olympics too. I’m not sure if I’m at the right age now to appreciate them more, meaning not running around and not working a night job. For whatever reason I’m really liking the coverage and enjoying watching stuff I can’t see on tv online, such as the triathlons.

I will be sad, but sort of relieved too because the Olympics started right after the Tour de France and that kept me pretty damn busy too.

I’ve had baseball on the back of my mind. I know it’s there….I’d love to watch it but…I dont’ have the time! And unfortunately the same goes with the olympics this year. I’ll fight sleep….watch with one eye while trying to keep the other open with toothpicks but in the end exhaustion has the best of me. Thank god for replays and the internet!

And of the 6 or so starting blocks on a pool side…save one for me in my next life!

What I love most about the Olympics is you get the men’s and women’s marathons. Some of the other sports you can find on occasion, but other than that, only Boston gets broadcast and it makes me sad.

I love that you were having a drink with a friend. i have to suggest that to a friend of mine!!

My kids and I are totally into the Olympics! The funny thing is, while they are being homers and cheering on the US, I cheer for whoever I like. Could be Spain in Volleyball, or China in diving, or Australia in the men’s swimming relay (sorry Michael Phelps)

Props to that gymnast last night who tied but was given a silver through the tie-breaker – she had nothing negative to say. She accepted the tie-breaker, she accepted that one judge scored her low, she accepted that the Chinese gymnast might be too young. Her reaction to it all was inspiring.

I love the idea of having a drink with someone who is far away, via phone! I am totally going to to that.

As I just told my coworker, the Olympics is like an addiction. Case in point: I stayed up waay past my bedtime last night to watch gymnastics, which isn’t even close to being my favorite sport. Send help!

“How is life going to be without being able to turn on the t.v. and at any given time see someone in a swimsuit?” I loved that line. I’m starting to panic a bit thinking about it being over, but then I console myself with the fact there’s the Democratic convention right around the corner. Then the Republican one. I can already foresee my breakdown- it will be the day after the presidential election. That is going to be a low, low day.

I am going to play the Exception here and hang my head… we have not been huge fans this go round. Yes, we watched the women’s gymnastics and we skimmed through the swimming, but our favorite is the diving…

Other than these, we just haven’t been watching. There is swimming and riding, and reading, and summer to be enjoyed!

I do love that people are so excited about it though!!
