My friend and I ran a half marathon dressed as cowgirls. Further evidence to come.

(sorry for the tiny photos)

I promise I am not one of those people that always makes a fool of themselves. Really, I’m not. I don’t know what’s gotten into me this year. But being in Las Vegas to run at the same time as the NFR just made me want to don a stupid hat (a stupid hat that no real cowboy would ever really wear, this I know).

It was a really, really good time though. I will never forget it. It was also my slowest half EVER. 13.1 miles should not take me that long. But it was fun. And uncomfortable in that I’ve never been asked for my photo so much. That is weird.

At this point I’m rambling, so I’ll stop. But yes, I had the best time and I wouldn’t trade it or my amazing friends, or the stupid hat for anything.

Life is good.

Fun! The picture of you guys with the Paris balloon in the background is classic.

Oh I am so glad that you decided on runners instead of cowboy boots!

Ummm I feel like you failed to mention the dressing up part in all your tweets and updates. I forgive you because it is AWESOME.

Were you singing with great abandon in that second pic? Just a hunch.

Love the aerodynamic headgear.

So much fun! I love it!

My friends donned funny sayings t-shirts for the Seattle half, which they said got them a lot of attention on the run. I only got sad for like 2 minutes that I wasn’t running when they ran by me. Guess that was a sign that I wasn’t supposed to run my race and I made the right decision.

That’s awesome.

I swear I want to do that, but I think the costume would get on my nerves after mile one or two. Both of you owned those costumes though. Well done.
