Not just for this season but for the next year and beyond, I hope to be more and more about peace. Creating peace, enjoying peace, helping to create peace for others. I hope that for you, too. I think we’ve all had enough of this year in some ways, and I hope moving on from that can not only mean leaving things behind, but taking what we learned to do better, for ourselves, for others, for everyone.

I kind of got tired in 2009 of the word “fail” and pretty much everything we used to say we weren’t good enough. Bad stuff happens in our lives, annoying things, we make mistakes, people disappoint us, and the plan goes about every way except the way we thought. Oh well.
Awesome stuff happens in our lives, thrilling things, we create beauty and love in spite of our mistakes, people come through for us and give what we can’t find in ourselves, and the way the plan turns out ends up right where we needed to be. Let’s celebrate that.

Let’s make a choice to promote peace, to look for the good, to be proud and supportive of each other, more kind and less annoyed. There’s a lot of good being done in this world. I, for one, would like to hear more about that.
Start looking now. I dare you.
Wishing peace and love to you and yours this season and always.

That card? Was among the ones I gave out this year.
Peace and love to you too, friend.
I agree. Let’s celebrate the goodness in the world this year.
Merry Christmas to you!
To be very honest, 2009 didn’t really treat me good too. There were very few good memories and the rest is either blah or depressing. I wish 2010 treat all of us better
happy holiday!
I’d like to shout out “Amen!” but that last bit makes it sound like you want us to tone down the snark. No can do, my friend. I love ya, but the snark stays.
Great post.
Wishing you the best in 2010.
Wouldn’t that be nice…
what a nice idea.
hope that you had the happiest of holidays lady!
Nice Post LG. Wishing you happy holidays, peace and joy in 2010.
All right, fine.
But just for YOU.
I like this a lot. I too am so done with the word “fail”. Talk about overuse by the connected (meaning blogging community) folks.
Anyways, very appropriate post given the topic of the post following this one. This is a challenge I can support. Best wishes for a great 2010.
What a beautiful card – how precious for the people who were lucky enough to get one in the post.
